We're on the hunt for a Bid Writer to join our Commercial Team, led by our Commercial Director.
We're looking for someone who shares our values and brings the skills to keep Routes as one of the leading care service providers in the North of England.
A little about us
We like to think of Routes as an incredible team of folk from all walks of life, working together with one thing in common: we all care about making a difference. And that's not just for our clients and colleagues.
For the last 15 years at Routes, we've taken pride in what we do: delivering high standards of care that put people's wants and needs at the heart of their care, allowing them to live the way they choose in the comfort of their homes and communities.
If this sounds like a company you'd like to be part of, we're already onto a winner. But how about we sweeten the deal a little more?
What's on offer….
- Wellbeing and financial support through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, and an extra day off for your birthday
- Saving for future-you with our Pension Scheme
- A competitive salary of up to 45K
- A fun, friendly, and supportive workplace (we have so many great personalities!)
What are we looking for in you?
We're looking for someone with experience in writing compelling and professional bids who thrives on deadlines and has a passion for showcasing what makes us unique. You'll need:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills to create clear and compelling content.
- A knack for storytelling, ensuring proposals highlight our expertise and values.
- Proven experience in bid writing or tender submission—healthcare sector knowledge is desirable but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines without breaking a sweat.
- Confidence in conducting research to understand local authority and NHS procurement requirements, along with broader market trends.
- A collaborative mindset to work closely with our registered managers, clinical team, recruitment, and operational teams.
- A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in every proposal.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to drive the bid process from start to finish.
- A valid driver's license, as while you'll be based in Rochdale, occasional travel to other sites across the North of England may be needed.
What will your core role include?
- Writing, editing, and creating proposals and tenders that articulate our care services, expertise, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conducting research to understand procurement needs and trends in healthcare and home care.
- Collaborating with our amazing teams to ensure every bid reflects patient safety, care quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinating the bid process, from initial request for proposal to submission.
- Managing the tender pipeline on our CRM
- Evaluating each request to fully understand response instructions and requirements.
